C'est This is about 3 times more expensive than the bus but the journey takes 1 hour less.

This is an opportunity to make the journey otherwise admiring other landscapes on the Tonle Sap.

The ticket entitles you to a seat inside, but it is more pleasant to travel on the roof of the boat (except for rainy days!).

Dating back to the XXII century, it is composed of laterite.
The deck is based on 21 or 20 columns arches.

To 35 km north of Kompong Thom is a pre-Angkor archaeological site dedicated to the god Shiva:


 Sambor Prei Kuk

The site architectural form 3 groups:
       -  North: Prasat Sambor.

       -  In the middle: Prasat Tao.

       -  South: Prasat Yeai Poeun.


In the village of Kompong Kdei, 60 km from Siem Reap, remains the largest and most important bridges between the 11 remaining Angkorian era.

Prasat Sambor
 
 






The remains of the wall remains significant.
Prasat (temple) Sambor is surrounded by four octagonal towers.
Several towers have maintained brick sculptures in good condition.

Prasat Tao
 






Prasat Tao means the Temple lions in reference to the two lions standing guard in front of the temple.
It remains the only non ébouli site feature.

Prasat Yeai Poeun
 
 






Prasat Yeai Poeun is the best preserved group.
It comprises a total of 22 sanctuaries (5 have octagonal shapes).
Like other groups, it was built in brick during the 7th century (600-635).
